Praxis Tools is the result of a software developer finding certain shortcomings of Sage 50 rather annoying. Many of these shortcomings were addressed through writing some simple applications that did what Sage 50 could not. It became clear that these applications could be put to use on a more general level and meet similar needs of other people.
